Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF)
In the direction of working out a model Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF) for compliance by Infrastructure projects, efforts have been initiated. The ESSF (as prepared by ADB in association with other Development Institutions) is envisaged to be broadly In line with National Policies. Based on the developments in the national policies, the ESSF would be further evolved.
